About This Event / イベントについて
For two months each summer, roughly 2,100 paper lanterns line both banks of the Dotonbori canal along an 800-metre stretch from Fukasari Bridge to Nipponbashi. Lit nightly from 19:00 to 02:00, the warm lantern glow reflects on the water beneath the district's neon signs — a uniquely Dotonbori nightscape.
Organized by 13 local shopping street associations, the 道頓堀川万灯祭 is Osaka Minami's signature summer light event and free to view. It pairs naturally with a Tombori River Cruise or an evening stroll between Ebisu Bridge and Daikoku Bridge.
毎年夏の2ヶ月間、約2,100灯の提灯が深里橋から日本橋まで約800mにわたり道頓堀川の両岸に並びます。毎夜19時〜翌2時まで点灯し、暖かな提灯の光がネオンの下、水面に映る道頓堀ならではの夜景が広がります。
13の商店会による合同イベントで、道頓堀川万灯祭は大阪ミナミの夏の風物詩。観覧無料。とんぼりリバークルーズや、戎橋〜大黒橋の夜の散歩と相性抜群です。
